How excited are you that it is October?! Y’all, I am super-duper thrilled that it is time for pumpkin-spice everything, hoodies, boots, and Halloween movies! Although here in South Carolina it hasn’t felt very much like fall, I am hoping that trend will begin to change (if Joaqin doesn’t blow us off the face of the map first!). I can’t believe it has been a month since my last post, and I have every confidence that y’all missed me terribly. After all, absence makes the heart grow fonder….right?!
September went by way to fast, but the Hubs and I have been super busy working on various DIY projects, home projects, and of course…thrifting! So, where do I start?! We have been working on a few various DIY projects around our home. The first one is a coat rack made from pallets. Here is a teaser…
We have been working on stripping paint and refinishing a china cabinet for our kitchen. We also just completed laying vinyl plank wood floors in the guest bathroom (more to come on that later).
With all these side projects going on, September has also been a really good thrifting month for us. We have found several new spots and found lots of great things for our home.
First, we went to the The Big Grab which is a yearly 43-mile yard sale. We didn’t get the things we most wanted, but we did get two light fixtures for the guest and half-bath. I also picked up a super cool oil-based painting from a local artist for the breakfast nook.
On one of our thrifting adventures, we finally found a dining room table to fit the breakfast nook (now if we can just find some
cheap thrifty chairs!) after a long, long, long search! We also happened upon a yard-sale in our neighborhood and bought a light fixture for the breakfast nook as well!
Thanks for taking the time to read! Love, B.
